Between juggling my 9-5 and building my brand, The Professional Homegirl, it's really hard for me to sit down and actually cook let alone meal prep. Don't get it twisted, I'm on a budget just like you but by the time I arrive home, baby girl is tired. With that being said, I noticed that Bae and I go out to eat ALOT. Thankfully, all the spots we dining at have some pretty delicious food. I wouldn't be a true professional homegirl if I didn't hold it down with sharing these places with you. With that being said welcome to #PHGCravings! Let me know if you visit any of these locations and most importantly ENJOY!

If you would love for me to visit your restaurant and share my experience with my readers, please email me at hello@theprofessionalhomegirl.com

So for those of you that didn't know, I am slowly transitioning into becoming a vegan. SLOWLY. For dinner I ordered the Vegan Pho and it is a spiced vegetable broth, fried tofu, kale, mushrooms, rice noodles, bean sprouts, cilantro, and scallions. It definitely had a different taste than I expected but it was pretty tasty. I definitely recommended trying this place out and don't forget to order a ginger beer to go with your meal.

Burger & Lobster

39 W 19th St.

New York, New York

This place is a New York's classic. Granted, I never tried the burger here before (I don't eat beef) however you can't go wrong with any of the lobster options. Everytime I go there, they never disappoint and all time favorite is lobster roll! Thank me later.

Cafe Habana

17 Prince Street at Elizabeth Street

New York, NY 10012

Who doesn't love a good Mexican spot! My go-to dish for any Mexican restaurant is usually shrimp quesadillas with a strawberry margarita on the side but whenever I'm at this location, I gotta add the Mexican corn to it. Trust me, this corn on the cob is like no other.

Borgata Hotel

Atlantic City, NJ

Recently, I noticed that Bae and I needed a change of scenery. We didn't have much time to fly away somewhere exotic so I suggested Atlantic City. To read my full recap, click here. During our time there, We ate at Angeline Restaurant and it was beyond delicious. I ordered the Saffron Spaghetti and it just thinking about it is making my mouth watery. Served with lump crab, jalapeño, mint, and breadcrumbs, it's obviously that its not your ordinary spaghetti. One of the most refreshing meals I had in a long time and I so recommend this place if you are in the NY area.

Junior's Cheesecake

386 Flatbush Ave.

Brooklyn, New York

Y'all remember when Diddy made The Band walk to Juniors' for some damn cheesecake? Well now you know why! I've been going to Junior's for their cheesecake ever since I was a little girl and it's my literally my go-to place for cheesecake. Bae and I wanted something ice cream and decided to try this instead. It felt like I died and went to heaven. The top part of the smoothie is the iconic cheesecake and underneath it is a strawberry smoothie like ice cream. If you ever want to try something that will cool you down on a hot day, look no further.

241 South 4th Street

Brooklyn, New York

If there's one thing I'm willing to try anywhere in the world, its hot wings. I mean how can you mess up on hot wings? How Sway How? The ambiance was too cute and even though we ordered so much food, my favorite was their infamous hot wings. One of my new favorite places to grab wings!

Pommes Frites

128 Macdougal St.

New York, NY 10012

Who doesn't love a good side of french fries? Tell me who Sway who? Bae has been wanting to visit this place for quite some time now and I love me some french fries. Pommes Frites( FYI: this is what the Belgians call their french fries) was so fulfilling and such a hidden gem in The City. Pommes Frites is reasonably priced and you also have the option to select from one of their tasty sauces. If I not mistaken, there are at least twenty-five sauces to choose from and you can sample them as well before your final decision.

The Juicy Box Bar

2281 Nostrand Avenue

Brooklyn, New York

Listen, don't sleep on the hood baby. Some of the best restaurants are located in the hood and The Juicy Box Bar is one of them. For those of you that don't know, I have transitioned into a healthier lifestyle and I am no longer eating chicken. I have given up all meat and only sticking to my seafood. With that being said, I ordered the salmon burger from here and it was so delicious. I mean the sauce had me drooling and the bun was so tasty! It was so good, that I had to go back again the next day and order it again. If you ever in the Flatbush area, definitely stop by!

The Writing Room

1703 2nd. Avenue

New York, NY 10128

This is another place Bae's been dying to visit and ugh, the food was so good. I ordered the Maine lobster roll with french fries and ughhh! LOL, nah seriously the food was so good. However, I think the service could have been a little better. The Writing Bar is not your average restaurant so I did expect better customer service from our waitress. Bae was completely over it but I think I want to try them again. What do you think? I'll keep yall posted on this one.
