2. What do you do?

I am a full time undergrad student in her last year double majoring in Africana Studies and Economics. I am also a blogger who blogs about the importance of self love, self care and confidence for young women of color. On my free time I head to the gym where I clear my mind and body from all the negativity that tries to enter my life.

3. What motivates you?

I motivate myself. I do not say this to be cocky or selfish, but I always want to be the best version of myself. In order to be the best version of myself I have to motivate myself to get to that place. Additionally, I cannot compare myself to others so the only person I can compare myself to is the old person I use to be.

4. How do you balance with your career, side hustles, and your social life?

I balance my career, side hustles, and my social life by understanding their separation and dedicating certain amounts of my time to them. My health comes before anything in this world, so I always put that first. Everything else I try to give a equal amount of my time. You have to a sense of balance between all of them because you don't want to just dedicate your life to one thing. I am a big planner person, so I always schedule in when to work on my career and my side hustle and once that is completed than I get my social life on.

5. What does Professional Homegirl mean to you?

Professional Homegirl to is a bomb lady about her business. She has the capability of carrying herself in the best way in every setting. She has the mindset to get everything done if she puts her mind to it. There is definitely a professional homegirl in the friend group that pushes their friends to become professional homegirls as well.

6. What advice would you give to young women that want to pursue their dreams?

Follow your heart and never give up. The word dream seems so large, so make small goals to get to your dreams. Don't doubt yourself and think you are not capable of doing of getting the work done. Once you support yourself, the support from other people will come into place. DONT GIVE UP ! Keep pushing forward.
