Top Three Things We Can Learn From Cardi B Bodak Yellow

Cardi B is more than just a regular degular smegular girl from the Bronx. She is now the second female rapper since Lauryn Hill to make history with her single Bodak Yellow without any features. As our modern day Cinderella, Cardi B is not shy to talk about her struggle to success stories from being an ex-stripper and previous abusive relationships. Besides her authenticity, Cardi  B showed us that hard work and a vision can really make your dreams come true. Here are my top three things you can learn from Cardi B No. 1 single in the country, Bodak Yellow.

1. "Said, "Lil bitch, you can't fuck with me if you wanted to"

I don't care who it is, never let the opponent see you sweat. You have to have that much confidence in yourself to let everyone know that you are here to stay. That can be in your 9-5, side hustles, or whatever that is that makes you feel good and/or put some money in your pockets. Even if you don't think you will succeed in whatever it is that you are doing, push through that fear. Always hold yourself down no matter what. If you don't, who will?

2. "Honestly, don't give a fuck 'bout who ain't fond of me
Dropped two mixtapes in six months, what bitch working as hard as me?
I don't bother with these hoes, don't let these hoes bother me
They see pictures, they say, "Goals," bitch, I'm who they tryna be."

Who cares if they don't like you? Do they pay your bills? Do they feed you? If the answer is no, eff them. Don't be fooled, people see your grind. They might not like or comment on social media, or support your project in the open but please believe it they see you and they will respect you and your grind.  Let's not forget the golden rule: People want to seeing you doing good but not better. Your hard work will pay off and it will be rewarding. If you can see the invisible you can do the impossible.

3. I used to live in the P's, now it's a crib with a gate
Rollie got charms, look like Frosted Flakes
Had to let these bitches know, just in case these hoes forgot
I just run and check the mail, another check from Mona Scott

When that GLOW UP happens and it will happen, live in it. You worked hard to get to this point and there is nothing wrong with you owning it. Show some appreciation to yourself and look at how far you came. Cardi B used to live in the projects and was a stripper in her early twenties but after all that hard work and speaking everything into the existence look at her now! Never underestimate the power of dreaming and handwork. Most importantly, BET ON YOURSELF!
