100 Days of Dating Book Recap

I had the pleasure of meeting the author of 100 Days of Dating over lunch and I couldn't help but see myself in her. Kiana is so full of life and because of her infectious energy, I was excited to start reading her book. 100 Days of Dating is a passion project where Kiana interviews over one hundred women and men from the ages of 22 to 54 years old on the topic of love. There were so many parts of love that Kiana covered during her interviews that it made muself walked down memory lane with my own personal encounters with love. What made me really enjoy this book is that you saw similarities between both women and men when it came to their perspectives on love and how most of us have the same coping mechanisms.

In the midst of her writing her first book, Kiana was in the process of figuring out her own love life. Kiana ended her ten-year relationship and she shares her own journey of heartbreak and healing. As you continue to read more, you can notice that Kiana is beginning to become more vulnerable by sharing her thoughts and experiences on each topic. I commend Kiana for just having the courage to push through heartbreak because I for one knows it is not easy.

My greatest heartbreak was from my first love in college and chile, I thought the world was ending lol. I was having nightmares about my first love and his new girlfriend and I was literally afraid to go to sleep lol. No seriously. However, times heals everything and my heartache no longer hurt as bad as it did before and it later became another chapter in my book.

I was very surprised at how open the men were during their interviews. We all know that some men have so many words when it comes to love, but not these men. It was pretty cool to read thoughts from the men Kiana interviewed and their experiences on heartbreak and the lessons they learned from it. If you want some insight on what goes through a man's thought process, girl this book is definetly for you. Even I was like oh, that's how you feel? Lol.

I couldn't be more proud of Kiana on writing her first book. This book is the perfect example of why you should never give up no matter what because you never know how close you are to creating something so beautiful. Plus, tough times don't last but tough people do!
